the bear, the cave and the four forbidden things

the origin

long ago the timeline got loud. every morning something new was hot, and everyone shouted about it at once.

one bear got tired. it packed a small bag and walked away from the noise until it found a cave.

the cave has no wifi signal, except one bar near the back wall. the bear sleeps near the front and walks to the back wall each morning.

it checks what is hot. it sighs. then it does the opposite.

sometimes the opposite turns out right. the bear acts like nothing happened.

the four forbidden things

the bear refuses to say four words out loud. it calls them the four forbidden things.

   the first one

   the one with the circuits and the big promises. the bear will not say its name, only point at the ceiling.

   the loud barker

   it has a leash, a wagging tail and a lot of fans. the bear leaves the room when it comes up.

   the green jumper

   it sits on a lily pad and everyone copies it. the bear stays dry on purpose.

   the quiet judge

   it knocks things off shelves and stares. the bear respects it and still refuses to say the word.

if you say one of the four near the cave, the bear will cough and look at the wall.

the cave rules

1. one bar of signal, checked once a day, no more.
2. look at what is hot, then do the opposite.
3. never say the four forbidden things out loud.
4. if the opposite works, say nothing and eat a snack.
5. if the opposite fails, say nothing and eat a snack.
6. no hurrying. a nap comes before a reply.
7. guests are welcome, but they must whisper.
